Togo national coach Claude Le Roy made a short trip to watch Komlan Agbégniadan in the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday.

And the diminutive striker put up a show at the Red Bull Soccer Arena in Sogakope, a few minutes’ drive from Togo capital Lome.

The White Witch Doctor, as Le Roy is nicknamed, watched from the stands as Agbégniadan scored both goals to ensure league leaders WAFA SC defeat visitors Liberty Professionals 2-1 in a Matchday 13 fixture.

The 26-year-old, who was handed his Nations Cup bow by Le Roy in Gabon early this year, registered his goals in either half before skipper Samuel Sarfo scored the consolation goal for Liberty late in the game.

Agbégniadan has featured in 12 of WAFA’s games this season and has scored four times.

With the victory, WAFA have now stretched their lead at the top by three points after Aduana Stars fought out a 1-1 draw away to Asante Kotoko in Kumasi.

New Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah also travelled to watch the game.
