The head coach of shepolopolo, Bruce Mwape was elated over his side performance against Equatorial Guinea after trashing them by 5 – 0 at the cape coast stadium in the ongoing Total African Women’s Cup of Nations in Group B.

Mwape, who led the team in their debut outing in Namibia 2014, is upbeat about his side’s chances;

“I want to say it was a good results.

We still need some room for improvement

All we wanted was maximum points for our first game to give morale.

Mostly, I want to give credit to the players for doing what was required of them on the field.

This chapter is closed we shall now prepare for Nigeria.”

Mary Mwakapila scored one of the two spot kicks and was delightful to watch on the field with a brace by Racheal Kundananji and strikes from Ireen Lungu and Grace Chanda handing the Shepolopolo an emphatic first ever win in the history of the competition
